How to Identify Pride in Ourselves

Replace the Lens of Pride with Humility

A prideful person would secretly say to themselves: xxx is very prideful. It takes a prideful person to see the pride in others. Yes, pride and judgment go hand in hand. How often have we done this?
Pride is like cloudy lenses, blind us from seeing others the way God sees them. All we have in our minds is the list that others fall short of a certain standard. I did not invent this. In Romans 2:1 Therefore you have no excuse, you foolish person, every one of you who passes judgment; for in that matter in which you judge someone else, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
Pride hinders relationships. The quickest way to sniff pride in ourselves is by examining the judgment we pronounce against others.
May God helps us to stay humble and suspend the judgments swarming in our thoughts and heart. Replace the lens of pride with humility: see others with The Lens of Love (God) – they are uniquely and fearfully made, and each has something to offer.
